The Lucerne School of Computer Science and Information Technology is the country's first department at a university of applied sciences dedicated to computer science. As a research assistant you will conduct research on regulatory financial reporting applications in the area of DeFi (Decentralized Finance). You will work in an interdisciplinary team in collaboration with ZHAW and Uni ZH. The DaDFiR3 project pursues the vision of a system for automated regulatory financial reporting that uses data at the financial contract level in combination with market data to provide the necessary analysis for internal and external supervision. Your research will focus on blockchain infrastructure and DeFi product analytics. The research is funded by the SNSF. There is a possibility of a PhD.

Tasks and job requirements

  • Research in DeFi and automated reporting
  • Developing the decentralized part of the DaDFiR3 platform and integration into the existing ecosystem
  • Implementing smart contract representations of financial contracts
  • Deploying a concept for the representation and identity of counterparties and contracts on the blockchain
  • Interacting and collaborating with research partners in the DaDFiR3 project and partners in the financial industry across Switzerland and international
  • Publishing research results to a range of audiences, including industrial partners and the scientific community

Your profile

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree from a European University in Computer Science or Business Information Technology with very good marks (Master required for PhD)
  • Experience with blockchain and in developing smart contracts
  • Basic knowledge in finance and financial systems
  • DeFi knowledge is an advantage
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
